Jahan Zoltan Honma has announced his debut album under the artist name, “Zoltan”. The album is entitled, “First Fantasy”. An obvious play on the popular role-playing video game franchise, Final Fantasy. When asked about the style of the music, Jahan replied, “It’s basically a melodic death metal album but there are some guitar and vocal parts that break away from the death metal mold.” Although some guest musicians will participate in the recording, this is basically a solo album in the eyes of its composer as all music and lyrics are written by him, alone. No release date has been mentioned yet but the official website now has a music section containing a track list, lyrics, and soon the album art. Recording starts in April. One can only imagine what kind of exciting album awaits us from this brand new metal band.

本間慈翻（ジャハン）はＺＯＬＴＡＮの初アルバムのリリースをアナウンスしました。タイトルは「Ｆｉｒｓｔ　Ｆａｎｔａｓｙ」です。ＲＰＧのファイナル・ファンタジーの影響でこのタイトルにしたらしいです。本間慈翻にジャンルについて聞いたら、「だいたいメロディック・デスメタルだけどちょっと違う場所もあります」と言いました。ゲストギターリストとヴォーカリストとかはいますけど、慈翻にとってＦｉｒｓｔ　Ｆａｎｔａｓｙはソロ・アルバムです。音楽と歌詞は全て彼の作品です。発売日はまだ決まっていないみたいですけど、ホームページは新しい「Ｍｕｓｉｃ」というセクションができました。今、アルバムのトラックと歌詞を見れます。後でジャケットも見れます。４月からレコーディングが始まります。新潟生まれの新しいメタル・アーティストからの初アルバムって興奮する事ですね。楽しみにしています。
